Give a Gift Today!

While the Garden has never been more beautiful, we are SO much more than a pretty place! Beyond our Garden paths, our work as one of the top Botanic Gardens in the world is blooming, focused on improving our planet, for current and future generations.

Your gift today can help nurture these seedlings of world-changing initiatives like never before. And, thanks to a $50,000 Matching Challenge from an anonymous donor, your gift will be matched dollar for dollar—doubling your impact to grow these dynamic programs!

Our mission centers around three core pillars: education, conservation and science. Here’s what your year-end gift can build:

GROWING EDUCATION TO IGNITE COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Education is at the heart of all we do—and provides one of our greatest areas of potential impact. With your support, we can grow our education programs to inspire more active and experiential learning, create new curriculum for all age groups, and grow our hands-on experiences to ignite children’s and adults’ knowledge about what we can grow, whether for beautification, healthy eating, or fire management.

ROOTING CONSERVATION TO SAVE HABITATS AND ENDANGERED SPECIES
Right now, our conservation team and volunteers are cataloging, collecting and propagating rare native plants from throughout the County to restore habitats and share our findings with other gardens and research institutions nationwide. These critical conservation projects highlight San Diego’s role as an important wildlife corridor for local and migrating animals, birds and butterflies that thrive on our native endangered plants, enhancing the natural beauty of our local canyons and watersheds for all of us to enjoy.

SPROUTING INNOVATION IN SCIENCE & RESEARCH
Plants are building blocks for innovation—especially endangered ones—as they hold scientific secrets to combating climate change. San Diego County holds the largest diversity of these important wild plants nationwide. Our vision is to analyze San Diego’s beneficial native plants and broaden our partnerships with local industry and commercial partners, to feature the bounty San Diego County has to offer, while educating the public about its national significance.

Our education, conservation, and science programs are growing, but they are only small buds of what we can do together in the future. Your gift today will nurture these Garden-based programs with global impact!

Remember, any gift that you make will be matched by our Anonymous Challenge—doubling your impact on the Garden!
