Common Name: Groundcover Banksia, or Southern Blechnum Banksia
Growth Habit: Prostrate shrub
Cultural Requirements: This plant requires well-drained soils and prefers full sun to part shade. It is drought tolerant once established but will perform better with regular watering. It is hardy to about 25 degrees F.
Features/Uses: This unique evergreen is typically used as a ground cover and can spread to 6 feet across or more. It has orange/bronze flowers and green foliage and pink new growth. The amazing aspect of the attractive cone flowers is that they occur at ground level and stand upright to about 4-6”.
