Ceremony times are limited: Lawn House Garden and Walled Garden 10:00 am -12:00 pm, 1:00-3:00 pm;
Victorian Gazebo Lawn 11:00 am-1:00 pm 

**The Waterfall Deck can accommodate up to 30 guests seated on white folding wedding chairs. 

 

Daytime Reception

The Victoria Gazebo Lawn is not available for daytime receptions.
The Waterfall Deck is not a reception location.

Full day rental; tables and chairs included. Must be cleaned and vacated by 3:00 pm.

*To use the Victorian Gazebo Lawn for ceremony location with a brunch or lunch reception following in the Lawn House Garden or Walled Garden additional fees apply. Lawn House Garden ; up to 25 guests add $300; 26-50 add $400; 51-80 add $600. Walled Garden: up to 25 guests add $400; 26-50 add $500 51-80 add $700.


Evening Ceremony and Reception or Evening Reception  

Exclusive use of the wedding areas known as Walled Garden, Larabee House, Herb Garden, Bamboo Garden and Victorian Gazebo Lawn. Chairs provided for ceremony only.

  • All areas must be cleaned and vacated by 11:30 pm

Sunday - Thursday

  • Reception Set Up begins at 1 pm
  • Ceremony Set up begins at 2 pm
  • Cocktail reception set up begins at 2 pm
  • All areas must be cleaned and vacated by 10:30 pm


Deposit to Hold a Date


All deposits are non-refundable. A $200 deposit and a signed contract reserve an available daytime ceremony location. A $400 deposit and a signed contract reserve an available daytime ceremony and reception location combination. A $1000 deposit and a signed contract reserve an available evening ceremony and reception or reception. The deposit is applied to your total rental cost. The balance of rental cost including security deposit and insurance if applicable is due 90 days before event date or at time of contract signing if less than 90 days.

Cancellations
All deposits are nonrefundable, cancelations made after the balance of rental cost are paid will be refunded as follows; after removing initial deposit from rental cost any monies already paid will be refunded in full if canceled before 31 days or more prior to event; 15-30 days 50% of those funds; 1-14 days no refund.

Admission and Parking
Fees include parking and admission to the Gardens for the wedding party and guests.

Security/Insurance
A $250 refundable security deposit is required for all ceremonies. A $500 refundable security deposit and a $70 insurance charge are required for all receptions or ceremony/reception combinations. Payments are due 3 months prior to wedding date.

What You Need to Know
To help ensure a pleasant event and to preserve the beauty of the Gardens please keep in mind the following:

  • The garden is open to the public every day until 5 pm.
  • Rice, bird seed, confetti and sparklers my not be used for any reason anywhere in the garden.
  • NO BALLOONS.
  • DJ, Band or recorded music volume must not exceed Noise Ordinance levels dictated by the
    City of Encinitas and will be regulated during event.
  • Smoking is NOT permitted anywhere at San Diego Botanic Garden

Before requesting a guided tour we suggest a visit to the Gardens on your own to see firsthand the areas discussed and determine if one these natural backdrops suits your wedding day vision.
