Common Name:
Dragon Tree

Native to the Canary Islands and now found in many Mediterranean and southern locations.

Growth Habit: Over 40ft tall, long life span of over 200 years or more, and very slow growing.

Cultural Requirements: It appreciates a well-draining soil and is cold hardy to 20 - 25 degrees Fahrenheit. It thrives in full sun and is very drought tolerant.

Uses/Features: Suitable for growing indoors, but more commonly appreciated as an outdoor xeriscape specimen tree. White flowers are produced after about 10-15 years with an inflorescence above its foliage canopy. Seeds are poisonous if ingested.
